A cookie is a small amount of data sent to your browser by our servers. We use cookies to keep you logged in and store your preferences in order to provide better service when you return to our site.

  1. Choose "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu (you may need to press "Alt" + "F" to see the menu)
  2. Select the "Privacy" tab
  3. Set the slider to "Medium"
  4. Open up the "Per Site Privacy Options" by either pressing "Edit" under "Web Sites" (for IE 6) or pressing the "Sites" button (for IE 7)
  5. Type "worldwidewives.com" into the "Address of Web site" box and press "Allow". Then press "Ok" to exit the window.
  6. Press "Ok" to save the settings and close the "Internet Options" window

  1. Choose "Options" from the "Tools" menu
  2. Select the "Privacy" icon in the "Options" menu
  3. Check the "Accept cookies from sites" box from the "Cookies" section
  4. Select "OK" to save the settings and close the "Options" window

  1. Choose "Preferences" from the "Edit" menu
  2. Select the "Security" icon from the menu
  3. Select "Always" or "Only from sites you navigate to" for the "Accept Cookies" question
  4. Press the cross in the top right to save the settings and close the "Preferences" window

  1. Choose "Preferences" from the "Settings" menu (called "Tools" in Opera 9)
  2. Select the "Advanced" tab
  3. Select "Cookies" from the list on the left
  4. Check "Accept Cookies" or "Accept only cookies from the sites I visit"
  5. Press "Ok" to save the settings and close the "Preferences" window
  6. Click here to login
Opera Preferences
  1. Select the "Tools" icon (looks like a spanner)
  2. Select "Options"
  3. Select "Under the Bonnet" tab
  4. Press the "Content Settings" Button
  5. Check "Allow local data to set" and untick any boxes which are ticked
  6. Select the "Close" button twice and you settings are correct

Sometimes anti-virus/ anti-spyware software can remove or block legitmate cookies after wrongly determining them to be harmful. Some firewall programs will do this as well. A few examples of this type of software are:

  • Norton
  • McAfee
  • ZoneAlarm

You will need to check the privacy/spyware settings of your particular program in order to find the part that relates to cookies and either disable the cookie scan/ block or add "worldwidewives.com" to a safe list.
