I'm a very well traveled 20 year navy retired vet. I've been all over the world and have experienced many cultures. I'm honest, open (almost to a fault), caring, loving and extremely affectionate. I enjoy a wide variety of music, including rock, folk, some jazz, classical, progressive rock, some country and some new age musics. I can't do rap or hip hop though. I enjoy doing research online and am considering writing a book on progressive rock music. I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan, being from Dallas originally. I would describe myself as an eternal optimist, who loves to laugh and spend time with the people who are important to me. My family and friends would probably describe me as kind and loyal with a good sense of humor. I tend to be the kind of person people feel comfortable talking to and confiding in (I will admit, I am a talker...but I'm a good listener too!). I'm easy going and get along with everyone and could probably be described as the guy next door (for lack of a better cliche). I try not to take life too seriously and also tend to be pretty sarcastic - and yes, I can take it as well as dish it out! I love reading, movies, classical art, as well as other types of art, roller coasters and long walks in the evening, weather permitting. I'm a work in progress, as I'm constantly learning and growing as a person. After all, there's always room for improvement. I love cats, dogs, ferrets and fish and am real good with animals.
